Two ways to cover a hot tub

One lifts, the other rolls up

Light brown insulated cover on a square hot tub, folded in the middle

The insulated cover

Rigid foam panels under a coated fabric, folded in two across the width. 12 cm at the fold, 9 cm on the opposite edges: this is the one that insulates best, and it can be fitted with or without a cover lifter.

  • Five colours
  • Made-to-measure skirt and straps
  • For all shapes

The roll-up

A quilted cover, lined with 40 mm of XPE foam, that rolls onto a bar at the end of the hot tub. Nothing to lift or carry: roll it up, swim, then unroll it.

What makes a good cover

What you don't see, and what matters

A slope that sheds rain
12 cm at the fold, 9 cm on the opposite edges. The hinge is the high line: water runs towards the edges instead of pooling on the fold, and the foam does not soak up water.
A skirt at the height of your rim
It runs down the side of the hot tub and presses the cover against the cabinet: the wind can no longer get underneath. You choose its height, 15 cm suits most people.
Straps where the wind lifts
Ten centimetres from each corner, on all four sides: every corner is held by two straps. They are not fitted to a built-in or sheltered hot tub.
Up to the swim spa
Beyond 2.60 m, the cover is made in equal sections, each with its own fold, butting together once laid thanks to a Velcro strip. Each section is handled with both hands.

Measuring correctly

Three measurements people often get wrong, and how to take them

01

At the outer edge

The cover rests on the rim, not inside the shell. Measure from one outer edge to the other, cabinet included, in both directions.

02

The corner radius

Place a square in the corner and measure the distance between the tip of the square and the point where the curve begins. That is the radius.

03

The skirt height

Measure the height of the rim, from the top down to where the cabinet meets it. The skirt must cover it without touching the ground.
